At the end of last year, we received one of the best pieces of news we could have hoped for. We achieved B Corp certification after a long process of verification and a thorough review of the sustainable practices we carry out at Raventós i Blanc.
Finally, we obtained B Corp certification with a score of 114.1 points, well above the required minimum of 80 points.
This recognition distinguishes companies that operate with high standards in areas such as the environment, people, community, and governance. But beyond the recognition, what it truly represents is a way of understanding a business: as a project that must generate value beyond economic results.
In our case, it is not a change of direction, but rather a way of formalizing a way of working that has long been in place.

The vineyard as a living ecosystem: cover crops, spontaneous flora, and biodiversity in balance.
The estate as a living organism
Since 1497, the Raventós i Blanc estate has been continuously worked by the same family.
Today it remains a living organism, where the vineyard coexists with the forest, the lake, the river, and the animals, forming a balanced system. A way of understanding the landscape that goes beyond individual plots and seeks to preserve its natural functioning.
This perspective translates into concrete decisions. In a context of drought, water consumption has been reduced by nearly 20% in one year. Efforts have been made to decrease the weight of glass per bottle and optimize the use of raw materials. Solar panels have been installed, generating more than 30% of the energy consumed, and all purchased electricity comes from renewable sources.
It also involves continuously monitoring the waste generated and rethinking processes to reduce it and manage it more effectively.
These are concrete decisions that respond to a shared intention: to move towards an increasingly self-sufficient estate, capable of functioning in balance with its environment.
1. Animal traction 2. Biodynamic practices
The vineyard as a starting point
Organic and biodynamic viticulture is at the core of the project. Not as a trend, but as a way to care for the soil, preserve biodiversity, and sustain the life beneath the surface.
On the estate, 100% of the vineyards are organic, and the vast majority are certified biodynamic by Demeter, the label that guarantees the highest standards in this type of agriculture. This certification is not an end in itself, but a tool that helps us continue improving year after year and to work with greater rigor and consistency.
Eliminating synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides, working with organic compost and green manures, and maintaining cover crops are practices aimed at regenerating the soil and fostering a living ecosystem. Pest control is carried out through natural mechanisms, encouraging biodiversity with insectivorous birds and bats.
“A recognition built over time, rooted in the way we work, how we farm, and how we understand our role within the territory.”
Traditional practices such as animal traction are also being revived, allowing certain plots to be worked without compacting the soil and reducing reliance on machinery.
Biodynamics, like regenerative viticulture, is not based on fixed recipes, but on a holistic view of the estate. A way of working with sensitivity and knowledge, understanding the vineyard as a living system capable of adapting and evolving.
The objective is clear: to have vineyards that are more resilient to climate change, with greater biodiversity, and to obtain fruit that expresses the unique character of the territory with precision.

People at the center: the project is built as a team.
Raventós i Blanc is a winery rooted in a territory and a community with which we share values and responsibilities. This means working with local suppliers, fostering local employment, and actively contributing to the development of the economy of the Penedès and the Conca del Riu Anoia.
This commitment translates into concrete decisions: prioritizing local businesses, establishing long-term relationships with growers in the area, and recognizing the value of their work through fair conditions.
But the commitment to the community goes beyond our own activity. It takes shape in projects such as Ciutat Nua, an initiative that connects viticulture with training and the social reintegration of inmates at the Can Brians 2 penitentiary center, creating a real opportunity for learning and a future.
And also in collective initiatives such as Futuro Viñador, of which we are founding partners. A shared project with other winegrowers who work with a common purpose: to improve viticulture through knowledge, exchange, and respect for the landscape.
Because the way wine is made cannot be separated from the people who make it possible. And because caring for the land also means caring for the community that keeps it alive.

Origin as a guiding principle
All of this —the estate, the vineyard, the people— has a clear objective: to craft wines that speak of their origin. Of the soils of the Conca del Riu Anoia, of native varieties, of the Penedès climate, and of the hands that work each plot.
B Corp certification does not define this path, but it does give it context. It makes it visible and connects it to a way of understanding the project through responsibility and a long-term perspective.
Because everything begins in the land.
And it is over time that it ultimately takes shape in the wine.

Today we produce quality wines, with a unique character and their own personality.
We invite you to form part of a passionate, entertaining tour, full of curiosities, adventures and special moments that features the 21st generation descendent who dreams of a designation of origin: Conca del Riu Anoia.
Do you feel like sharing this journey with us? We promise you won’t be disappointed on the way.
